Times:
• Junior Workshops for ages 9 to 17 @ 08:30 to 11:30
• Adult/Teacher 18+ Workshops @ 12:30 to 15:30

Introduction to Robotics and Coding Workshop:

Offered over 2 x Saturdays/2 Sessions (6 Hours) @ R500.

This workshop offers a hands-on opportunity to start learning the basics of robotics and coding using the BoffinBot Robotics Kits and Guide Books.  www.boffinbot.co.za

You will learn:

  • The basics of building electronic circuits, the components required, what they are named and how to use them.
  • How to download and install software onto your computer, so that you may program your circuits.
  • Electronic Components found in robots such as Arduino development board, breadboard, infrared sensors, LEDs, resistors, jumper wires and lithium ion batteries.
  • Arduino Integrated Development Environment (IDE) cross-platform application written in functions from C and C++.
  • Skills Development include Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication.

3D Printing Workshops

Brainstorm Boffins offers 3D Modelling and 3D Printing workshops on Saturdays.

 Times:
• Junior Workshops for ages 9 to 17 @ 08:30 to 11:30
• Adult/Teacher 18+ Workshops @ 12:30 to 15:30

 

Beginner 3D Printing Workshop:

Offered over 2 x Saturdays/2 Sessions (6 Hours) @ R500.

Brainstorm Boffins makes 3D printing fun and accessible by offering a basic course suitable for beginners of any age and aptitude. Learn how to operate your very own desktop factory and we will walk you through the essentials that will act as a stepping stone to advanced courses in 3D printing.

You will learn:

  • Basic modelling and printing techniques
  • Participants will be able to bring back their own 3D Printed model that was created in class.
